Good keeper, with excellent flavor and texture. Introduced from Japan in the 1970s. Sweet and slightly tart with a touch more acid than other Asian pear varieties. Ideal for fresh eating but also makes a great pie! The fruit is round, gold-brown colored with a juicy crisp texture.
For pollination, plant two Asian Pears within 50′ of eachother, or plant one of these early blooming varieties: Chojuro, Bartlett, Shinseiki, or Shinko.
