Developed in Geneva, NY in 1926, Stanley sets the bar very high for European plum varieties! A free-stone variety, very sweet and great for drying into prunes, baking, or fresh eating! This is considered an easy-to-grow plum that boasts high yields of fruit. The skin is dark blue-purple with yellow flesh and high sugar content. This plum is self-fertile and ripens in early September.
