Asian Pear, Standard, Hosui

Description

Good keeper, with excellent flavor and texture.  Introduced from Japan in the 1970s.  Sweet and slightly tart with a touch more acid than other Asian pear varieties.  Ideal for fresh eating but also makes a great pie!
