Asian Pear, Standard, Korean Giant

Also called Dan Bae or Olympic, Korean Giant is a vigorous winter hardy tree that produces at a young age and bears a heavy crop of large, round olive green fruit that can weigh up to a pound each! The fruit can be kept in cold storage until March. This highly touted pear blooms early in the season and ripens in mid-October. It is very crisp and juicy with a high sugar content.

Korean Giant has excellent, sweet, crisp flavor. Juicy flesh with a high sugar content. Very large, round, dark brown russet fruit weighs up to a pound or more.  The size of a grapefruit.

It will need another pear tree to pollinate, ideally an Asian Pear, but some European varieties may work as well.
